A word about our mission

“We, as a cybersecurity industry, are suffering from a self-inflicted skills gap. Whether it be from corporate beaurocracy impeding the candidate selection and hiring process– or just plain old elitist toxicity– we’re shooting ourselves in the foot and calling it a skills gap. If what we want is people that can do the job, then we need to give them what they need to be good at the job– so that when the time comes, they are ready.”

The Official #NOSHITSECURITY CTF Challenges, content, and mentoring have always been free of charge. The purpose is to foster community growth and interaction towards solving a common problem. I believe that we can help in more ways than we know if we can come together and see our common threads.

We offer tangible rewards for effort and training from the cutting edge. We give you what you need to succeed.

Our active mentoring and guidance towards morally sound cybersecurity ethics and practices is our mission. We’re here to help you find your foothold.®

I feel homage to the idea of the key and the egg; my approach has a bit of a twist that I think you will all enjoy. The end result, if you crack the egg, is a reward that not only looks good— it showcases real forensics work; sleuthing, cracking, active exploitation; and whatever number of things we as a community can build together. That is a big part of this. Others give you a certificate for participation. We give you one for active engagement.

If we work together, the skills gap doesn’t stand a chance.
